Editorial policy
Select Food Journal aims to make food information understandable without overstating what a label, ingredient list or general explanation can establish.
Accuracy and clarity
We work to use terms consistently, explain relevant context and distinguish a product statement from an interpretation of that statement. When a subject is uncertain or depends on details not included in an article, we say so rather than fill gaps with guesses.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader usefulness and fit with our food literacy focus. A commercial relationship does not determine an editorial conclusion, and coverage is not a personal dietary or health recommendation.
Corrections
Readers can contact us with a specific concern about an error or unclear passage. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the relevant wording so the explanation is clearer and more accurate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, that use is disclosed and illustrations are not presented as documentary evidence.
